Our penultimate release of 2023 brings the musical magic of our good friend Mir Omar with his 2 track EP titled Departures / Inner Core. We are very honoured to also welcome Mir to onedotsixtwo for his first EP release with. He last graced us back in 2021 with his remix of Mike Isai - Alya.

New York native Mir has established himself globally as a producer at the forefront of progressive house with tracks and remixes garnishing support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and many other. He is known for diversity of sounds that always build around intricate and clever melodies that always create aural mayhem whenever played.

Both tracks on this EP ooze class and savoir faire and highlight just how talented Mir is.

The first track Departures takes you on melody led journey with arps and a grooving baseline.
The second track Inner Core follows a much darker path perhaps conjured from the warehouse parties of Brooklyn with its metallic and gritty baseline and drums with an industrial lead that you might say and hear draws inspiration from the Nine Inch Nails or perhaps even Front 242, with the 21st Century in mind.
